About Us
All of our pastries are made with the finest ingredients we can get our hands on. That means 100% of our ingredients are organic and or sourced in the Puget Sound, as well as fair trade. At Shikorina, we put extra effort into making our menu inclusive of different diets and food allergies. We offer nut-free, gluten-free, and vegan options.
Shikorina Pastries was founded by Hana Yohannes in 2020. Hana has always been passionate about pastry making. Seeing the joy her pastries spark in others is what drove her to start this business.
While we no longer have a storefront, you can still find us at markets, events, and popups.
While Hana has always loved pastry making, it wasn’t until participating in the Pastry Project, a program dedicated to providing pastry education to those experiencing barriers to entering the pastry industry, that Hana gained the experience to start the business. For this reason, among many others, Shikorina Pastries is committed to sending the elevator back down and providing learning opportunities for others, like the Pastry Project did.
